Hotel Universo - WTB Hotels

This was a comfortable and convenient place to stay in one of the busy parts of Florence. The room was at the rear of the building, on the top floor, accessible via a lift. It was very quiet at night, and sunny during the day. The bed and pillows offered excellent comfort for a good sleep, and the shower was hot and strong. The reception staff I encountered were always friendly and helpful. A big thank you to the fellow who checked me in - he was efficient and informative and extremely polite. Its great location meant it was only a short, flat walk to the airport tram - at €1.70 that was the cheapest, easiest trip I've ever had to an airport, anywhere.

If you're arriving by train, this hotel is very well placed. As you walk down to the Piazza di Santa Maria Novella, the walkway opens out onto the piazza and the hotel is there; five minutes walk. There is a cafe next door which has quite a variety for breakfasts. The Basilica di Santa Maria Novella is well worth visiting. You can easily walk to anywhere in Florence from here. Friendly staff.

Location was very good. 4mins away from the train station. Our room’s view was the piazza de santa maria novella. Front desk was very helpful with luggage storage and printing our train ticket.

The location of the hotel is great… very close to the train station and the tram, on a main piazza of Florence, so there are restaurants and shops close by. The room was clean, quiet and air-conditioned. It had all the basic amenities and the bed was comfortable. The hotel staff were very helpful and upbeat. They allowed me to store luggage for a few days, even though I was staying just one night, before catching an early flight.

Minutes' walk away from Firenze Santa Maria Novella Train Station and right in front of Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, the hotel is located at a very convenient and accessible location. You can walk from all the main sightseeing locations without having to take public transport. Also spoiled for food choices. The staffs at the front desk are also very friendly and give good recommendations!
